My opinion:

This stall sells traditional Singapore char siew rice and roasted delicacies. My mother and I have tried their char siew and roasted pork rice for lunch. There were 7 pieces of char siew meat, 7 pieces or roasted pork and moderate amount of rice in our takeaway packet.

Although char siew pieces were juicy, soft and tender, there were small amount of charred and fatty portions in them. Roasted pork was slightly too salty for our liking. Pork skin was rough and not crispy enough. Rice was well cooked and did not have sticky issues. Black sauce was not sweet or thick enough. Chili was also too salty and did not mix well with the other food ingredients.

To sum up, the food here was cheap, plentiful and had some flaws that prevented us from visiting them in the near future. We will also advise our blog readers to visit the numerous roasted delicacy stalls in the same food centre and do a comparison.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, they should remove the charred or fatty portions from their char siew meat. Second, the preparation and production processes of the roasted pork must be thoroughly reviewed. Third, the black sauce should be made thicker. Fourth, they should use a new kind of chili as the current version was not suitable for meat rice meals.
