Will I come back again in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives
My opinion:
This Smith Street hawker stall sells traditional Singapore chee cheong fun, soon kuehs and yam cakes. For this food review, I have tried their chicken chee cheong fun nd yam cake for lunch.
Chee cheong fun was not smooth enough and did not mix well with the sparse chicken ingredients. Certain portions of the yam cake were soft while others were rough or soggy (inconsistent).
Although the black sauce was thick, it was bland and too plain tasting (lacked sweetness). Chili was hot, robust, too salty and tasted poorly with the chee cheong fun.
In a nutshell, the food here was cheap but average tasting. Unless you are an "adventurous" chee cheong fun foodie, my advice is to give this stall a miss and visit other alternatives in the same food centre.
Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:
Add more ingredients and review the preparation process of all the sauces.
