My opinion:

118 means "about to be rich" in Chinese. This stall sells traditional Singapore chicken rice, char siew rice, duck rice, roasted delicacies and wanton noodles. My mother and I have tried their char siew rice for dinner.

We were stunned by the generosity of the owners. There were 15 pieces of char siew, 2 cucumber slices and huge amount of rice in our takeaway packet. Char siew was incredibly juicy, soft, succulent, tender, well roasted and among the top 5 we have tasted in recent years. Sadly, we still had to deduct some points for the char siew meat as it had a lot of charred and fatty portions. Rice was plentiful, well cooked and could satisfy the hunger of 2 children.

In conclusion, the food here was delicious, economical and could satisfy our weekly craving for roasted delicacies. If you are a fan of char siew rice, 118 is a definite must visit stall in your "food pilgrimage".

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, they are applauded for their good work. Second, they are strongly advised to cut out the charred and fatty portions of their roasted food items.
