My opinion:

Hiong means "fragrance" in Chinese. This Hong Lim hawker stall specializes in traditional Singapore dumplings. Their food items are really expensive and small sized. For example, one of their nyonya dumpling costs $2.50 each while I can get one in Tampines for just $1.50 (quality and quantity not compromised). For this food review, my mother and I have tried their alkaline dumpling ($1.30) and red bean alkaline dumpling ($1.50).

When we went home to inspect our "goodies", we were stunned by the small sizes of the dumplings. An adult could eat both dumplings in less than 2 minutes and still feel hungry afterwards. Both dumplings were soft and melted with each bite (major plus points). Red bean paste was too mild tasting to add any last minute bonus points for the food.

Seriously, the amount of "food porn" on the internet was really too much. This stall could not even make the grade. If you are an adult dumpling fan, I will suggest you give this stall a miss.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Increase the dumpling size and carry out more promotional sales.
