My opinion:

Rui Qing means "lucky celebration" in Chinese. This Bedok North hawker stall specializes in traditional Singapore kway chap. For this food review, I have tried out their signature "1 person kway chap set meal" for $4.50. In terms of price, this dish cost at least $1.10 more than Chai Chee Kway Chap's food products (stall 67 in the same food centre).

There were 2 pig intestines, 6 pork skin slices, 4 pork meat pieces, 4 tau pok pieces, half a marinated egg and moderate amount of rice sheets in my food portion. This pathetic amount of ingredients were unable to satisfy the hunger of a teenager, let alone an adult (major minus points).

The food was smoking hot and I had to wait 2 minutes for it to fully cool down. Rice sheets were slippery, soft and broke apart easily. Pig intestines were not properly washed and coated with huge amount of fatty portions. Pork skin slices were mild tasting and silky smooth. Pork meat was rough, tough and did not mix well with the other ingredients. Tau pok was soft and contained the essence of the braising stock. Soup was bland, oily and totally devoid of herbal taste.

In a nutshell, the food here was expensive and severely lacking in essential ingredients. If you are a kway chap fan, my advice is to avoid all the stalls in Bedok North 216 Food Centre. Walk 5 minutes to Bedok Interchange Food Centre (just beside Bedok MRT) and visit Hai Fa Kway Chap for better quality food.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Add more ingredients and thoroughly review the soup's preparation process.
