Will I come back again in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives
My opinion:
Xue Hua Fei means "flying snow flakes" in Chinese. This Chinatown stall has more than 6 decades of experience (1954) in preparing traditional Singapore beverages and desserts. For this food review, I have tasted their almond longan ice for tea break.
Almond "dou fu" was plain tasting and chopped to little bits. Although this act made the dessert easier to swallow (plus point for old people), young people may find it awkward tasting. The 4 longans were too little and small to contribute significantly to the dessert's flavor or rating. Ice was not properly shaved and melted too fast.
To sum up, the desserts here are average tasting and lacked essential ingredients. If you are a hardcore dessert fan who likes "risky food adventures", my advice is to ignore their almond longan ice and try out their sweet potato soup.
