My opinion:
This is the only stall in Changi Airport that sells a large variety of Japanese cuisine. I have tried both their BBQ meat ramen for $5.50 and salmon teriyaki chicken bento for $7.50. I was impressed with the food quality but not with the quantity.
The ramen had 3 big pieces of barbecued meat, 1/2 boiled egg, few slices of vegetables and small amount of ramen noodles. Soup was not too oily or salty. The food was delicious and would had a higher rating if there were more ramen noodles.
Salmon teriyaki chicken bento had a small piece of salmon meat, miserly portions of chicken meat, pathetic amount of rice and one bowl of soup. The salmon was well cooked and was actually quite soft on my mouth (plus point). Chicken meat was juicy, soft and tender. Soup was few in portions and too mild tasting to add any last minute bonus points to the food.
To sum up, their food was good but expensive compared to hawker food. If the owners want more business or fans, they are advised to add more meat and soup ingredients. I will only recommend their food to Japanese food fans living near Changi and Pasir Ris. Please note: If you or your friend possess an employee card, you can reduce the prices of Changi Airport Kopitiam's food by 25 to 30%.
