My opinion:

Red Hornbill specializes in traditional Southeast Asian noodles. For this food review, my mother and I decided to try their signature Sarawak laksa for lunch.

We were given 5 shrimps, 8 chicken slices, 8 egg slices, 1 plate of chili, bean sprouts and moderate amount of bee hoon. There were no cockles or rice noodles! This was also the first time we ate "laksa" with bee hoon in it.

Shrimps were juicy, mildly sweet and tender. Chicken slices were small sized and not too rough. Egg slices were delicious but too few in portions to add any significant bonus points to the food. Soup was spicy and had a strong herbal taste. My mother really hate this kind of soup and complained to me it tasted like traditional Chinese medicine!

Bean sprouts were crunchy and fresh. Chili was a severe letdown as it was extremely salty. Do not dump the plate of chili into your soup or else your food will be "inedible".

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Introduce cockles as food ingredients and thoroughly review the chili's preparation process.
