My opinion:

Hai Fa sells traditional Singapore kway chap, nasi lemak and otah. This stall was once voted as one of the top ten kway chap hawker stalls in Singapore. I have tried their $4.50 kway chap set meal for lunch.

I was given 4 slices of marinated egg (1 egg), 5 pieces of tau pok (fried bean curds), 5 pieces of pork meat, 9 slices of pig intestines and moderate amount of rice sheets. The egg slices were small but well marinated. Tau pok, pork meat and pig intestines were delicious, fragrant and soaked with the goodness of the braising stock. The pig intestines were addictive, well cooked and did not have a pungent smell or taste.

Rice sheets were silky, smooth and did not have an artificial taste (highly impressed). Unlike other kway chap stalls who served soup that tasted like plain water, Hai Fa's soup was flavorful but not too oily or salty.

If you are a kway chap fan, bookmark this webpage so that you will not miss out on this Singapore east food "gem". For people who have health problems, please stay away from food items such as pig intestines. I will also visit this stall regularly to check for consistency.
