Will I come back again in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives

My opinion:

Cheng Fa means "success and prosper" in Chinese. This stall sells Chinese rojak, goreng pisang and you zha kueh. Customers get to chose the $2.50 small option, the $3.00 medium option or the $4.00 big option for their Chinese rojak meals. My mother and I have tried the medium option for lunch.

The female owners were generous in giving out food ingredients. There were 15 pieces of you zha kueh, 4 pieces of dried cuttlefish, 3 slices of mango and 1 slice of pineapple in our takeaway packet! This huge amount of food would have cost at least $4.00 at other hawker stalls.

Although the sauce was filled with peanuts, it was also too salty, sticky and thick (major minus points). Some you zha kueh pieces were crispy and hot while others were rough and tough (inconsistent). Dried cuttlefish pieces were so salty that we had to throw them away. Mango slices were juicy, soft but a bit tasteless. As my mother was about to finish the food, she also noticed a strange bitterness in the sauce.

In conclusion, the food was cheap, plentiful but had serious flaws that prevented us from visiting them in 6 months' time. The owners are advised to review the sauce preparation process and ensure the crispiness of the you zha kueh.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Reduce the amount of salt in the food's preparation process.
