My opinion:
Cheng Fa means "success and prosperity" in Chinese. This Bedok Reservoir stall specializes in traditional Singapore fried food. For this review, I have tried their fried kway teow for lunch.
The owners were very stingy in ingredients. There were few cockle and egg ingredients in the food. In fact, they also saved up on black sauce as the food was very mild tasting (may be a plus point for people looking for healthy meals).
Kway teow was not well fried and had sticky problems. Chili was almost nonexistent. The food's only plus point was its crunchy and healthy bean sprouts.
In a nutshell, the fried kway teow here was economical but average tasting and severely lacking in ingredients. Unless you are a fried food fan living in Bedok, my advice is to ignore this stall and travel to nearby coffee shops for better quality meals.
