My opinion:

R & D sells traditional Singapore satay, dumpling noodles and wanton noodles. I have tried their signature wanton noodles for lunch. There were 3 wantons, 8 pieces of char siew, 1 bowl of soup and moderate amount of noodles in my food portion.

Wantons were silky, smooth and soft. The wanton skin was not too thick and mixed nicely with the meat ingredients. Char siew was a bit too dry and rough. Noodles were springy and well cooked. Noodle sauce was fragrant, thick and had a traditional taste.

Red chili was hot, robust, sticky and highly suitable for noodle meals. Customers also had the luxury of choosing the amount of green chili slices in their food. Soup was addictive, tasty, not too oily and one of the best that I have tasted in recent years (major plus points).

To sum up, the food here was cheap, delicious, plentiful and could satisfy my craving for wanton noodles. If you are a Chinese noodles fan living near Bukit Merah or Tiong Bahru, R & D is recommended by my website.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, they should iron out the char siew dryness and roughness problems. Second, the preparation and production processes of their char siew must be thoroughly reviewed.
