Will I come back again in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives

My opinion:

This Hong Lim hawker stall specializes in traditional Singapore fried food. For this review, I have tasted their Hokkien noodles for lunch. There were 2 small prawns, 3 sotong slices, 5 pork slices and huge amount of Hokkien bee hoon mee in my takeaway packet.

All the meat items were dry, rough and probably overcooked. Although the Hokkien bee hoon mee were moist, plentiful and warm, they were not addictive and lacking in fried taste. Besides the usual sambal chili, the owners also added a few red chili slices to the food. This simple act greatly increased my appetite and made the food more pleasing to my eyes.

To sum up, the food here was economical, fulfilling and had a few flaws that prevented me from visiting them in the near future. Unless you are a hardcore Hokkien noodles fan living near the Chinatown area, my advice is to give this stall a miss and visit other alternatives in nearby coffee shops or hawker centres.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, pack the food in cardboard boxes instead of plastic containers. This is more environment friendly and can help the owners gain more business and goodwill. Second, reduce the amount of time in cooking the meat items. Third, fry the Hokkien bee hoon mee for a longer duration.
