Will I come back again in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives

My opinion:

Shuang Sheng means "double victories" in Chinese. This stall sells traditional fishball noodles, minced meat noodles and laksa. For this food review, my mother and I have tried their laksa for lunch. There were 5 cockles, 6 slices of fish cake, 4 pieces of tau pok and huge amount of rice noodles.

Cockles were chewy, fresh and medium sized. Fish cake slices were plain tasting and had crispy edges. Tau pok pieces were rough and soaked up on the laksa soup. This proved to be a bad point because there was not enough laksa soup for the rice noodles.

Rice noodles were average tasting, not too springy and lacked the "wow" factor. The food's main weakness lied in the soup. Although it was not too oily or salty, it was too little to satisfy our craving for laksa and made the food looked like moist satay bee hoon!

To sum up, the food here had a lot of food items but too little soup. Unless you are a laksa fan living in Singapore east, our advice is to give this stall a miss and visit other food alternatives in nearby coffee shops.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, add more laksa soup for future customers. Second, pack the soup separately from the food items.
