My opinion:
Shi Zhi Wei means "eat and you will know the taste" in Chinese. This stall sells traditional Singapore ban mian, you mian, fish soup and seafood. For this review, I have tasted their sliced fish soup with rice for lunch.
There were 8 fish slices, 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of rice in my food portion. Fish slices were firm, fresh, healthy, medium sized, tasty and did not break apart too easily. Besides fish meat, the soup had seaweed, tomato slices and veggies as ingredients. It was fragrant and filled with fish taste.
The food's downfall lied in the poorly cooked rice. It was coarse, "crunchy", poorly cooked, rough and had a pungent smell. Honestly I did not eat more than 2 spoonfuls of this awkward tasting rice.
To sum up, the fish meat and soup here were delicious but the "uneatable" rice totally pulled down the food ratings. If you are a seafood fan, my advice is try out their fish noodles but leave the rice meals alone.
