My opinion:
Haikal's Kitchen specializes in traditional Singapore Muslim food. For this review, I have tried their lontong for breakfast. There were 8 pieces of rice cakes, 1 egg, coconut shreds and small amount of veggies in my food portion.
All the food items were small sized and cold (even though I visited the stall at 10.00 a.m). Rice cakes were soft, melted with each bite and did not suffer from roughness issues. The amount of carrots and common bean ("cai dou") were too little to satisfy the hunger of a child, let alone an adult. Coconut shreds were appealing, crunchy and greatly increased my appetite. Soup was salty and did not mix well with the other food ingredients.
In a nutshell, the food here was cheap but average tasting. Unless you are a hardcore fan of Muslim food, my advice is to visit other stalls in the same food centre for better quality food.
