Will I come back again in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives

My opinion:

Hoe Huat (stall 60) and Kiat Huat (stall 62) are stern rivals in Haig Road Food Centre and both stalls specialize in traditional Chinese noodles. Kiat Huat usually attracts a crazy queue of at least 6 people during lunch peak hours while the owners of Hoe Huat often have to "slap flies". For this food review, I have tried Hoe Huat's wanton noodles for lunch and really found the answers.

Their noodles were slightly rough and sticky. Noodle sauce was average tasting and too watery. The 5 steamed wantons were delicious and smooth. Wanton skins were not too thick and did not tear apart easily. Char siew was juicy, tender and did not have charred or fatty portions. Red chili sauce was so "weak" that I did not notice its existence. Green chili slices were also considered "missing in action".

To sum up, the food here could satisfy my stomach but not the craving for wanton noodles. If you are a hardcore Chinese noodles fan, my advice is to try out both stalls and do a comparison yourself. For nit picky foodies (such as me), I will suggest you guys visit other food alternatives in the same food centre.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Make the noodle sauce thicker, ensure the spiciness of the red chili sauce and introduce green chili slices as food ingredients.
