My opinion:

Shanghai Tang means "beaches of Shanghai" in Chinese. This Berseh food stall specializes in traditional Singapore Teochew cuisine. For this food review, my mother and I have tried their mixed vegetable rice for lunch. We chose doufu, mushrooms and shark fish meat as our food items.

Doufu was soft and melted with each bite. Mushrooms were addictive, healthy and juicy. Although shark fish meat was delectable, soft and tender, it had an overwhelming pungent smell. Fish meat sauce was flavorful, tasty and mixed well with the other food ingredients. Rice was well cooked and did not suffer from dryness, roughness or sticky issues.

In conclusion, the food here was economical, value for money and had a few minor problems that prevented this stall from greatness. If you are a fan of Teochew cuisine, Shanghai Tang is strongly recommended by our website.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Get rid of the fishy smell of the shark meat.
