My opinion:

This Hong Lim food stall specializes and excels in traditional Singapore herbal soup. For this food review, I have tasted their pork rib soup with rice for lunch. There were 3 pieces of pork ribs, 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of rice in my food portion.

Pork rib pieces were giant sized, juicy, soft and tender. Although there was no roughness or toughness issues (well cooked) with the meat, I did spotted a few fatty portions in one piece of pork rib.
Soup was addictive, fragrant, tasty and had a moderate herbal taste. Rice was plentiful, warm and mixed well with the other food ingredients. Sweet black sauce was bland, sticky and made the pork ribs "artificial tasting".

In conclusion, the food here was delicious, economical, fulfilling and very close to greatness. If you are a foodie living or working in Chinatown, this stall should be able to satisfy both your hunger and craving for pork rib soup.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, cut out the fatty portions from the pork ribs. Second, replace the sweet black sauce with soy sauce.
