My opinion:

Yu means "house" in Chinese. Honestly this is a highly unusual name for a food business. This Queen Street hawker stall sells traditional Singapore herbal soup, mutton soup and pig's organ soup. For this food review, I have tasted their pig's organ soup with rice for lunch.

There were 7 pork liver slices, 7 pork meat pieces, 2 pig intestine slices, 2 meat balls, 2 doufu cubes, 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of rice in my food portions. Liver slices were addictive, delectable and mixed very well with the other food ingredients. Pork meat was fresh, soft and devoid of fatty portions. Pig intestines were chewy, well cooked and did not have a pungent smell or taste.

Although the soup was fragrant, tasty and warm, its salted veggie taste completely "overwhelmed" the pork meat taste. Rice was well cooked and did not have dryness, roughness or sticky issues. Chili was robust and not too strong on my tongue (perfect for rice meals).

In conclusion, the food here was economical, plentiful and gave me a warm home cooked feel. If you are a pig's organ soup fan who adore salted veggie taste, Yu Ji is strongly recommended by my website.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Make sure the soup's pork meat taste is not too weak.
