Will I come back again in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives
My opinion:
Ah Siong sells traditional Singapore herbal soup, BBQ food, char siew rice, duck rice, roasted delicacies and wanton noodles. I have tried their roasted duck rice for lunch. There were 10 pieces of roasted duck meat and moderate amount of rice in my plate.
Duck meat was lean, small sized but did not have roasted fragrance or taste. Duck skin was rough and not crispy enough. Rice was well cooked and mixed well with the black sauce.
Black sauce was mildly sweet, sticky and thick. Red chili was robust, savory and greatly increased my appetite (highly different from the sourish chili commonly used in Singapore duck rice).
To sum up, the food here was cheap, fulfilling but had a few flaws that prevented me from visiting them in the near future. For my blog readers who are fans of duck rice or roasted delicacies, I will suggest you give this stall a miss and travel to Bedok Interchange for better quality food.
