My opinion:

Tong Cheng Yuan means "garden of eastern success" in Chinese. This Bugis hawker stall sells traditional Singapore beverages, desserts, grass jelly and soya products. For this food review, I have tasted their signature soya bean curd with grass jelly for tea break.

The dessert was given to me in a huge plastic container. Although the soya bean curd was big, warm and filled with soya goodness, it was rough and had a small resemblance to doufu. Grass jelly was addictive, sweet, springy and had "bite" to it. Sweet syrup was too sweet, thick and made the dessert awkward tasting.

To sum up, the desserts here were economical, fulfilling and had a few flaws that prevented me from returning in the near future. If you are a dessert fan, my advice is to try out their grass jelly desserts and ask the owners not to put too much sweet syrup in it.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, check and solve the soya bean curd's roughness issues. Second, do not add too much sweet syrup to the desserts.
