Will I come back in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives
My opinion:
Sean Kee specializes in one dish and that is traditional Singapore kway chap. I have tried their kway chap set meal for lunch. There were 12 slices of pig intestines, 6 pieces of pork meat, 6 slices of egg (1 egg), 6 pieces of tau pok and moderate amount of rice sheets in my food portion. Pork skin and tau kwa were "missing in action".
Pig intestines were dry, rough and small sized. Pork meat was average tasting and did not have too many fatty portions. Egg was mild tasting and not properly marinated. Tau pok was too soft and soaked up on the goodness of the braising stock.
Rice sheets were "slippery" but did not tear apart too easily. Although soup was not oily or salty, it was also devoid of herbal taste.
In conclusion, the food here was cheap but had significant amount of flaws that prevented me from visiting them in the near future. The friendly female owners are strongly advised to review the pig intestines preparation process, marinate the food items for a longer period of time and ensure the thickness of the braising stock.
