My opinion:

Hai Fa means "prosperity of the seas" in Chinese. This People's Park Complex hawker stall sells traditional Singapore curry rice and mixed vegetable rice. My mother and I have tried their rice meal for lunch. For this food review, we chose chicken bits, soy sauce chicken wings and mushrooms as our food items.

Chicken bits were flavorful, soft and tender. Chicken wings were plain tasting and small sized. Although mushrooms were fresh, healthy and juicy, they were also too salty for our liking. Rice was a bit soft and did not mix well with the other food ingredients.

To sum up, the food here was economical, fulfilling and had some problems that prevented us from returning in the near future. Unless you are a mixed vegetable rice fan living or working near Chinatown, our advice is to give this stall a miss and visit other food alternatives in nearby hawker centres.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, use larger chicken wings as food ingredients. Second, reduce the amount of salt in the veggies' cooking process. Third, thoroughly review the rice's preparation process.
