My opinion:

This New Market Road hawker stall specializes in traditional Singapore Teochew cuisine. For this food review, my mother and I have tried their rice meal for lunch. We chose "kio" vegetables, chicken meat and sweet sour pork as our food items.

"Kio" veggies were addictive, fresh, healthy, flavorful and mixed well with the other food ingredients (major plus points). Although the chicken meat was juicy, soft, tender and came with silky smooth skin, it was too mild tasting for our liking. Sweet sour pork was delectable, tasty and not too rough. Rice was well cooked and did not suffered from dryness or sticky issues.

In conclusion, the food here was delicious, economical, plentiful and had a few small flaws that prevented this stall from greatness. If you are a Teochew living near the Chinatown area, this hawker stall is recommended by our website.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Add some flavor to the chicken meat.
