Reputation: Traditional Singapore Fried Carrot Cake, Fried Kway Teow and Fried Oyster Omelette
Thoughts after eating: Cheap and good
Value for money: 82/100
Will I come back in 6 months' time? Yes
My opinion:
This Newton food stall specializes and excels in traditional Singapore fried food. For this review, my mother and I have tried their white fried carrot cake for lunch. There were enormous amount of egg and kueh ingredients in my takeaway packet. Although the food could satisfy the hunger of 2 young children, "cai pok" was considered "missing in action".
The carrot cake was well fried and not too oily or salty. After finishing the food, we did not have the usual "sinful" feeling and had a strange powerful desire to eat more carrot cakes (major plus points). However, their chili sauce was a severe letdown as it was too "weak" to add any flavor or last minute bonus points to the food's overall rating.

In conclusion, the fried food here was delicious, plentiful and less oily than what their competitors sold. If you are a fried carrot cake fan living near Newton, this stall is recommended by our website.
Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:
Introduce "cai pok" as a food ingredient and fried the food for a longer duration.
