My opinion:

Both Xue Hua Fei and its rival, Hollywood Dessert Stall are selling really expensive desserts nowadays. Xue Hua Fei's signature ice kacang costs $2.50 or more for a takeaway portion while Hollywood's signature chendol costs $2.50 as well. This is getting insane as you can get $1.40 dessert in many Bedok hawker centres.

Putting aside the prices, the ice kacang is really good. It is sweet and tastes heavenly with a bit of milk. I love it when the ice kacang has some pineapple slices as they add more flavor to the dessert. The owners are also stingy in ingredients, I see very few attap chees, corn, jellies and red beans. Xue Hua Fei used to be very popular with Bedok residents, nowadays there is hardly a queue in front of the stall. With stiff competition in Bedok Interchange Food Centre, its time for them to wake up.
