My opinion:
Guan Kee sells traditional Singapore fried kway teow, hokkien noodles, pork rib noodles and prawn noodles. For this 2015 food review, I have tried their dry prawn noodles for $3.00. There were 3 pieces of pork, 4 slices of prawn (2 prawns) and moderate amount of yellow noodles in my takeaway packet.
Pork meat was average tasting and too little to add any points to the food. Prawns were delicious, fresh and did not have a pungent smell or taste. The owners were considerate enough to remove most of the shell and "yucky stuff". Noodles were dry, rough and did not mix well with the other food ingredients. Chili and noodle sauce were salty and greatly worsened the food's dryness problems.
In conclusion, their prawn noodles were cheap but had too many flaws for me to visit them again in the near future.
Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:
If the owners want more business or fans, they should add more ingredients and review the noodle sauce's preparation process.
