My opinion:

Nam Kee specializes in traditional Singapore Hokkien prawn noodles. Their meals are available in $4.00, $5.00 and $6.00 options. Since this was the first time trying their food, my mother and I decided to try out the smallest $4.00 option for dinner.

There were 2 prawns, 6 sotong slices,  a few egg bits and small amount of noodles in our takeaway portion. The box was not even half filled with food! Honestly, I could get a giant plate of Hokkien noodles in Bedok and Tampines for just $3.50.

Let's move on the food quality since some of my blog readers only care about the taste. Prawns and sotongs were chewy, fresh, juicy and soft. Egg bits were too little and plain tasting to add bonus points to the food's flavor or overall rating. Noodles were delicious, well cooked and not too dry or wet. Chili was robust, sticky, mixed well with the noodles and greatly increased my appetite.

In a nutshell, the food here was fragrant, tasty but too little to satisfy the hunger of a teenager. Unless you are a hardcore Hokkien noodles fan with a small appetite, our advice is to give this stall a miss and visit other alternatives in nearby coffee shops.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Add more noodles to the food for future customers.
