My opinion:

Tanglin Halt is the only food business in the Clementi 448 hawker centre that sells traditional Singapore Western food (monopoly). It was very famous in Singapore west and has been featured in numerous Medicorp's programs. The 25 dishes in their menu include beef steaks, chicken wings, chicken chops, pork chops, fish fillet rice and salmon rice.

For this food review, I decided to try out their pork chop for $4.50. Although the price was really cheap and "seductive", the food quantity and quality were severely compromised. There were 2 pieces of pork meat, baked beans, salad and moderate amount of french fries. Bakery product and butter were considered "missing in action".

Pork meat was small sized, dry, rough and tough. In fact, I spent 5 minutes cutting the pork meat with my fork and knife! This was the worst pork chop that I have tasted in recent years (2013, 2014 and 2015). Baked beans and salad were too little to gain any points for the food's flavor or ratings. French fries were mildly crispy and warm. Meat sauce was sweet, thick and mixed well with all the food ingredients.

In a nutshell, the food here was cheap and average tasting. If you are Western food fan living near Clementi and Jurong, I will advise you to try out their fish fillet rice and give their meat chops a miss.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, review the preparation and production processes of all the meat chops. Second, add more baked beans and salad to the food.
