My opinion:
This Bedok bus interchange stall sells traditional Asian char siew rice, chicken rice, roasted delicacies, dumpling noodles and wanton noodles. For this review, I decided to try out their soya chicken rice.
On their stall entrance, the price of their soya chicken rice was listed as $3.00. I was really unhappy when told by the female stall helper that the price was actually $3.50 (dishonesty).
There were 8 pieces of chicken meat and moderate amount of rice in my takeaway packet. Garlic chili and red chili was "missing in action". This was extremely unprofessional (by Singaporean standards). Most probably Hong Kongers did not eat chicken rice with chili sauce.
Although a few pieces of chicken meat were juicy and tender, there were some that were dry, rough and came with a lot of bones (not enough meat). Rice was soft, fluffy and did not have chicken fragrance. Soya sauce was a real letdown as it tasted like chee cheong fun sauce and did not mix well with the chicken meat or rice.
To sum up, the food here was average tasting and really made Hong Kong cuisine "lose face". My impression of Hong Kong roasted delicacies was excellent before this food review. I honestly could not feel the same after tasting this stall's food.
Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:
First, make sure the price of the food is the same as the one stated at the signboard. Second, add more chicken meat. Third, reduce the amount of water in cooking the rice. Fourth, check the preparation process of the sauce. Fifth, give each takeaway customer at least one packet of garlic chili.
