My opinion:
Shi Wei Tian means "eating is as important as heaven itself" in Chinese. This Hong Lim hawker stall specializes in traditional Singapore herbal soup. For this food review, I have tasted their lotus root pork rib soup with rice for lunch.
There were 4 pieces of pork ribs, 5 pieces of lotus root, 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of rice in my food portion. Although pork ribs were juicy, soft and tender, they were small sized and had a lot of bones (not much meat). Honestly, I finished all the pork ribs in less than 2 minutes.
Lotus roots were fresh, healthy, well cooked and not too soft. Soup was flavorful, tasty and not too oily or salty. Rice further plunged the food's rating as it was cold, rough and did not mix well with the other ingredients.
In my blog, I rarely commented on soy sauce but this time I would make an exception. Their soy sauce was a bit "powerful" and could sting my tongue if I over apply it. My blog readers are therefore advised to arm yourselves with cups of water before trying Shi Wei Tian's food.
