My opinion:
Quan Ji specializes and excels in traditional Singapore seafood. For this food review, I have tasted their sliced fish soup with rice for lunch. There were 9 fish slices, 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of rice in my food portion.
The fish slices were fresh, healthy, medium sized, not too thick or thin, succulent and well cooked. There was no issues with the fish meat being too flaky or rough.
Although the soup had lettuce fragrance, it had almost no fish taste. My super sensitive tongue did not detect any MSG taste (super plus point). Rice was well cooked and had no sticky problems.
In conclusion, the food here was economical, plentiful, tasty and had a few minor flaws that prevented this stall from greatness. Unless you are a super nit picky foodie, this stall should be able to satisfy both your hunger and craving for seafood.
