My opinion:

Xing Long means "good business" in Chinese. This coffee shop stall sells traditional Singapore Teochew mixed vegetable rice and porridge. My mother and I have tried their rice meal for lunch. For this review, we chose curry chicken, pork ball and tau kwa as our food items.

Chicken thigh was medium sized, juicy, tender and came with silky smooth skin. Although pork ball was tasty, it was also slightly dry and rough. Tau kwa was cooked with chili slices and veggies. It was delicious and gave us a home cooked feel. Rice was well cooked and did not have roughness or sticky issues.

To sum up, the food here was economical, yummy and had a few small flaws that prevented this stall from greatness. Therefore, we will only recommend Xing Long to mixed vegetable rice fans living in Singapore east.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, reduce the cooking time of the pork balls. Second, give future customers more tau kwa and vegetables.
