My opinion:

Yi Xiang means "beautiful and safe" in Chinese. This coffee shop stall sells traditional Singapore fish soup and seafood. For this food review, I decided to try out their sliced fish soup for lunch. There were 8 fish slices, 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of rice in my food portion.

Fish slices were delicious, fresh, medium sized, soft and tender (major plus points). The fish meat did not break apart too easily or suffered from roughness or toughness issues (commonly associated with overcooked meat). Soup had a thick bitter gourd taste and almost zero seafood taste. Although the rice was plentiful, it was sticky and did not mix well with the other food ingredients.

To sum up, Yi Xiang served shiok fish meat but there was room for improvement for their rice and soup. If you are a fish soup fan living in Bedok, my advice is to try out their fish soup bee hoon and give the rice meals a miss.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, add more fish meat and seaweed to the soup. Second, reduce the amount of water in the rice's cooking process.
