My opinion:
Da Fei Yuan means "source of great fattiness" or "source of immense wealth" in Chinese. This Chai Chee coffee shop stall sells traditional Singapore Chinese noodles and laksa. For this food review, I have tried their crispy meat ball noodles for lunch.
There were 5 meat balls, 1 mushroom, 1 bowl of noodles and 1 bowl of soup in my food portion. Although the meat balls were medium sized and look extremely appetizing, they were too salty and not crispy enough. The lone mushroom was healthy, juicy and had a thick vinegar taste. Noodles were a bit too salty and did not mix well with the other food ingredients. Soup was warm and had a mild meat fragrance.
To sum up, the food here was cheap but average tasting. Therefore, I will only recommend Da Fei Yuan to hardcore Chinese noodles fans living or working in Bedok.
