My opinion:

Ji De Lai means "remember to come" in Chinese. This coffee shop stall sells traditional Singapore chicken rice, curry chicken noodles, duck rice, kway chap and roasted delicacies. It also has branch stalls in Ang Mo Kio and Yishun. For this food review, I decided to try out their chicken cutlet rice for dinner.

There were 8 chicken cutlets, carrot slices, lettuce slices and moderate amount of rice in my takeaway packet. Chicken meat was medium sized, juicy, soft and tender. Chicken skin was also not crispy enough. Carrot and lettuce slices were crunchy, healthy and bathed in sweet moist salad sauce. Rice was well cooked and had chicken fragrance. Chili was too plain tasting and did not mix well with the other food ingredients.

In conclusion, the food here was cheap, tasty and was badly let down by the tasteless chili. If you are a chicken rice fan who cannot take spicy chili, Ji De Lai is recommended by my website.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, ensure the crispiness of the chicken cutlets. Second, use a new kind of chili as their current version is unsuitable for meat rice meals.

Please note:

I receive an email from the real owners of Ji De Lai. The hawker of this stall may have misused their company logo. I will try and revisit their real stall in the future and do a re-review again.
The email:

"I'm the business owner of Ji De Lai Hainanese Chicken Rice. Thank you for your review on our chicken cutlet rice but I'm afraid the stall you reviewed and tried at Chai Chee hub coffeshop wasn't Ji De Lai Hainanese Chicken Rice.

We have noted the owner has used our signage back in 2015 and we have since asked them to remove and change the stall signage.

We do have stalls at Sin Min Road and Chong Pang Food Centre. Our Ang Mo Kio outlet has closed since July 2016 due to lease expiry.

Just a note, Ji De Lai don't serve chicken cutlet rice at our stalls except for Ang Mo Kio outlet previously. For now we don't have chicken cutlet on our menu. The picture posted on your review, the chicken cutlet and style of serving is not ours.

We are known for our homemade chili sauce and ginger sauce, may we warmly invite you to have another try at our chicken rice whenever you are available however we don't serve chicken cutlet rice."
