My opinion:
"Red Grouper Soup" is a newcomer to Albert Centre and its owners specialize in traditional Singapore seafood. For this food review, I have tasted their sliced fish soup for lunch. There were 8 fish slices, 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of rice in my food portion.
Fish meat was small, thinly sliced and broke apart too easily. Besides the fish slices, the soup had doufu cubes, tomato slices and veggie slices as ingredients. Seaweed was considered "missing in action". In terms of taste, the soup was rejuvenating, warm and had small amount of fish flavor in it. Rice was well cooked and did not suffer from dryness, roughness or sticky problems.
In a nutshell, the food here was expensive and severely lacking in meat ingredients. Unless you are a hardcore fish soup fan, my advice is to give this stall a miss and visit other seafood alternatives in the same food centre.
Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:
Add more fish meat and introduce seaweed as soup ingredients.
