My opinion:
Angel Horse sells traditional Singapore fish soup, porridge and seafood. For this food review, I have tried their sliced fish soup with rice for lunch. There were 10 mackerel fish slices, 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of rice in my food portion.
The fish meat ranged from small to medium sized. They were average tasting, thinly sliced and broke apart easily. Although the soup had doufu, seasweed and tomato slices as ingredients, it was too light in texture and severely lacking in seafood taste. Rice was plentiful, well cooked and did not have any dryness, roughness or sticky issues.
In a nutshell, the food here was lacking in ingredients and did not deserve the daily long queue. For my blog readers who are fish soup fans, my advice is to visit Angel Horse and try out their food. If your experience is similar to mine, soundly strike out this seafood business from your list of "must visit stalls".
