My opinion:

Chuan Seng sells traditional Singapore kway chap. Customers get to choose the $4.00 small option or the $5.00 big option for their kway chap meals . Since this was my first time eating their food, I decided to try out the small option for lunch.

The owners were damn miserly in giving out food ingredients. There were only 4 slices of marinated egg (1 egg), 8 slices of pig intestines, 5 pieces of pork skin, 1 piece of pork meat and 10 pieces of tau pok in my food portion. All the food items were small sized and not properly marinated. Tau kwa was "missing in action".

Pig intestines were chewy, delicious and did not have a pungent smell or taste. Tau pok was soft and soaked up the goodness of the braising stock. Rice sheets were silky, smooth and did not tear apart easily. Soup was slightly oily and had a mild herbal taste. I will advise my blog readers to scoop up the top layers of the soup and dump it away.

In a nutshell, their food was average tasting, too little and had significant flaws that prevented me from visiting this stall in the near future.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Add more meat ingredients for future customers.
