My opinion:
Yong Huat means "glorious prosperity" in Chinese. The owners of this Tampines hawker stall started out their careers by selling fried Hokkien noodles but in recent years, they had switched their focus to meat rice.
For this food review, I have tasted their char siew and roasted pork rice for lunch. There were generous amount of meat ingredients but miserly amount of rice in my takeaway packet.
Char siew was juicy, tender and did not have too many fatty portions. The bland roasted pork meat was a major disappointment. Pork skin was rough and lacked crispiness. Rice was delicious, fragrant, well cooked and not too oily. Garlic chili was hot and spicy enough to give the food a last minute boost in flavor.
