My opinion:
Hai Chun means "spring of the sea" in Chinese. This Tanglin Halt hawker stall sells traditional Singapore ban mian, dumpling noodles, fish soup and seafood. For this 2015 food review, I have tried their dumpling noodles for $4.00.
There were 4 dumplings and huge amount of noodles in my take away packet. Although the dumplings were big sized, their skin was "artificial" and did not mix well with the ingredients. Noodles were slimy, sticky and weird tasting. Noodle sauce was tasteless and watery. Green chili slices were considered "missing in action".
In a nutshell, the dumpling noodles here had plentiful ingredients but had some glaring flaws that prevented me from becoming a fan of this stall. Honestly, this was my first time visiting this stall and this could be a rare mistake. I will visit Hai Chun in the future to try out their fish soup and seafood.
