My opinion:
This is the most popular stall in Tampines Round Market and Food Centre. Yummy Sarawak Kolo Mee was featured in Mediacorp's "Makan Places Lost and Found 2". Count yourself lucky if you have just 3 to 6 person queueing in front of you. Their signature dishes are Kolo Mee and Yummy Wanton Mee. Kolo Mee costs between $4.00 and $7.00. Yummy Wanton Mee costs between $3.00 and $5.00. I recommend the cheapest price for both food selections because the owners are quite generous in giving food ingredients.
In the recent years, I have tried their kolo mee 3 times. A $4.00 takeaway portion consisted of 2 pieces of braised pork, 2 dumplings, 2 wantons, 3 small slices of char siew and huge amounts of kolo noodles. The food was enough to satisfy the hunger of an adult and a small child. I did not like the texture of the kolo noodles. It felt a bit like instant noodles with a bit of sauce. Noodles were also too dry. If you love your noodles with flavorful and thick sauce, you are in for disappointment. The dumplings were not too small or soft. The wantons were delicious and crunchy. Braised pork was soft and well marinated. The hot and spicy chili used by them was similar to those used by chicken rice hawkers. It tasted very awkward with kolo noodles.
