My opinion:

Mama Recipe sells traditional Singapore Muslim food including briyani, chicken rice and nasi padang. For this food review, my mother and I have tried their spicy sour chicken thigh rice for lunch.

Chicken thigh was medium sized, soft, tender and came with silky smooth skin. As we tasted the food more, the meat sauce did not have spicy or sour taste. Besides the chicken thigh, the owners also gave us 3 cucumber slices and 3 pineapple slices, which were obviously not enough to satisfy the hunger of an adult. Although the rice was well cooked and did not have any roughness issues, it was completely devoid of chicken fragrance.

To sum up, the food here was cheap, delicious, lacking in veggie ingredients and had a few minor flaws that prevented us from visiting them in the near future.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, make sure the meat sauce had spicy and sour taste. If the owners do not heed our advice, we suggest that they change the name of the dish. Second, add a few more cucumber and pineapple slices to the food. Third, give each customer a packet of garlic chili.
