Will I come back again in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives
My opinion:
Zhen stands for "beautiful, good or outright" in Chinese. This stall specializes in traditional Singapore nasi lemak. I have tried their nasi lemak set 6 for $3.50. The female owner told me she had sold out all the fish cakes and she would "compensate" me with other ingredients.
I was given 1 cucumber slice, 1 fried egg, 4 slices of hot dog (1 hotdog), 2 pieces of luncheon meat, 1 otah and moderate amount of rice. All the food items were cold even though I visited the stall at 10:00 (10.00 a.m).
Egg was average tasting and not well fried. Hot dog and luncheon meat were bland and rough. Although otah did not have a pungent smell or taste, it was very sticky. Rice was well cooked but devoid of coconut milk fragrance. Chili was tasty but too few in portions to gain any significant points for the food's rating.
To sum up, the food here was cold and would not satisfy customers' craving for nasi lemak.
Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:
They are highly advised to reheat the food items every 2 hours and review the rice preparation process.
