My opinion:

This is really a lost "diamond" in a hawker centre full of mediocre food stalls. I was really impressed with the friendly service and quality of food. When I arrived after lunch peak hours (around 3 p.m), I ordered a takeaway packet of char siew and roasted pork rice. The food was fresh and warm when I reached home 1 hour later (not icy cold meat and rice in most hawker stalls).

The rice was fragrant and well cooked. Their char siew sauce was addictive, sweet and thick (thus preventing meat dryness issues). Both char siew and roasted pork were chewy, juicy and tender. I rarely enjoy eating roasted pork in Singapore's hawker centres but the skin was so crispy that I could not stop the urge to finish every chunk (not recommended to eat roasted pork skin if you have heart or weight problems). The chili was hot and spicy but the food was so good that there was no need to use too much of it.

The food did have a small weak point. Some of the char siew meat was slightly salty. In conclusion, fans of meat rice can satisfy their hunger and also give their taste buds a gentle massage at Lee Heng.
