Will I come back again in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives
My opinion:
Long Xiang means "dragon fragrance" in Chinese. This is the only hawker stall in Kovan Food Centre that sells curry rice (monopoly). My mother and I have tried their rice meal for $4.20. For this food review, we chose chicken feet, curry chicken and "fu chok" with veggies as our food items.
Chicken feet was average tasting and not properly marinated. Although the chicken meat was juicy, soft, tender and came with silky smooth skin, there were only 2 pieces and obviously not enough to satisfy the hunger of an adult. Curry was mild tasting, watery and did not mix well with the rice.
"Fu chok" was a bit too salty and my mother had to keep drinking water in order to finish the food. Rice was well cooked and did not suffered from sticky problems.
In a nutshell, the food here was economical but had some glaring errors that prevented us from visiting them in the near future. Unless you are a Kovan curry rice fan, our advice is to give this stall a miss and visit other stalls in the same food centre for tastier alternatives.
Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:
First, marinate the chicken feet for a longer duration. Second, add more chicken meat for future customers. Third, make the curry thicker. Fourth, reduce the amount of salt in the cooking process of all the food items.
