Will I come back in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives
My opinion:
Tong Nam means "south east" in Chinese. This stall sells traditional Singapore mixed vegetable rice and porridge. My mother and I have tried their rice meal for $3.20. For this food review, we chose doufu with salted vegetables, minced pork meat and pork skin as my food items.
All the food items were average tasting, cold and few in portions even though we arrived at dinner peak hours (7 p.m). Rice was poorly cooked, sticky and did not mixed well with the food items and their sauce. My mother suspected that the rice used was not fresh or of poor quality because the grains broke up into separate parts.
In a nutshell, the food here was bland, too few in portions and badly cooked. Therefore, I will advise my blog readers to give this stall a miss and visit other alternatives in nearby coffee shops.
Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:
First, check the freshness of their food ingredients. Second, give customers more meat and veggie ingredients. Third, reheat the food items once every 2 hours (consideration for welfare of consumers).
