Will I come back in 6 months' time? No, there are better alternatives
My opinion:
Zhai 85 specializes in traditional Singapore vegetarian cuisine. For this food review, I have tried their $2.30 vegetarian fried bee hoon set for breakfast.
Although their fried bee hoon was not too oily or salty, it was also too dry and mild tasting. Cabbages were cold and did not mix well with the other food ingredients. "Char siew" was appealing, chewy and delicious. "Fu chok" was addictive, crispy and tasted like a simple snack. Green chili slices and red chili sauce were to little to add any significant bonus points to the food's flavor.
To sum up, the fried bee hoon here was cheap, plentiful but had some flaws that prevented me from visiting them in 6 months' time. The owners are advised to add some gravy to the fried bee hoon and reheat the food items once every 2 hours.
Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:
Create a flavorful and thick gravy for the fried bee hoon.
