My opinion:

Xin Ye means "lots of offspring" or "lush leaves" in Chinese. The owners sell traditional Singapore curry chicken, mixed vegetable rice and porridge. I have tried their rice meal for $3.70. For this review, I chose egg, curry chicken and sweet sour pork as my food items.

Egg was soft and nicely fried. Curry chicken was juicy, tender and came with silky smooth skin. Curry was not too thick or thin, just right for rice meals. Sweet sour pork was dry, rough and too little to satisfy the hunger of an adult. Rice was well cooked and did not have sticky problems.

To sum up, the food here was average tasting and lacked the "wow" factors. This stall also showed a lack of competitiveness in terms of food quantity and price. Honestly, I can get a similar meal (with more meat items) at Commonwealth for $0.50 lesser.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, review the preparation and production processes of the sweet sour pork. Second, add more meat items to their food for future customers.
